Group Show
Jessie M. King Pelléas and Méllisande
Over 70 artists were represented at this year's Biennale unlike the Biennales of today where the work of one artist is exhibited.
International Committee of Patronage included Lawrence Alma-Tadema, Walter Crane, Hubert von Herkomer, William Quiller Orchardson and Sir Edward John Poynter from England.
Jury included John Lavery.
No prizes were awarded this year; instead works by artists including John Lavery and George Smith were purchased for the Galleria Internazionale d'Arte Moderna in Venice.
